The Emperor Protects!
As long as you've invested in the right wargear, including your basic munitions manual and uplifting primer.
Lately, I've been sort of wishing the Emperor would set up a Forge World America: have you scoped the prices on the new Horus Heresy book?
It's big. Like Titan naughty-places big.
$114 bucks. And totally worth it, darn it all. Speaking of worth it...
It's exciting to be a collector these days. In fact, it's these thoughts that led to the Terrible Tuesday article, The Science of (too much!) Choice. Why, you ask? Simply put, I look around my game room and there's too much to work on. I don't mind taking the long view, but even I'm thinking it's time to pair down.
That seems to be catching. The Mighty Mighty Carlos brought his Dark Eldar to the store Friday and traded for Little Barrera's Imperial Guard.
Collection for collection - a straight trade - both admitting they will never really work on X when Y is available.
I'm in the same boat; too many interests and not enough time. Right now I'm thinking I'll collect a few 'main' armies that host a number of 'side' armies. Basically, big armies with allied contingents. To make it work will require pitiless choices...
(That screams 'To Be Continued'...)

I liked your 'choices' article. I'm caught with now there are so many choices, I don't care about any of them. Nor do I have the money to keep up with opening up too many choices.
40K seems to be one, big, muddy mess to me in 6th, and I just can't get excited about it, especially when I'm buying a whole entirely new Flames of War French Early War army for $200 out of the box. instead of spending more then that to 'update' the 2.5 forces I already own for 40K.
I think the terrain/allies edition of 40K was the straw that broke this camel's back. My wallet isn't endless. I don't think GW understands this.
Yep. Just got both the book and the angriest primarch. The book it really nice Leather bound, metal corners full color and gilded edges. Good news on angron: He is cast in the old resin and not finecast. Looks like FW isn't taking any chances with the primarchs!
Yeah Brent, it was one of those things that hurts at first but in the long run will be healthier for me as a hobbyist. I am still contemplating getting rid of one or two more armies but I can only rip off one band aid at a time.
