Daemons Vs Blood Angels, 2500pts
EDIT: It was pointed out to me via YouTube that one can't choose to reroll the Descent rule if it passes, which Carlos was trying to do. I checked the wording and it's clear: you can only reroll failed attempts.
I'll pass that on to the Mighty Mighty Carlos. Now back to the regularly scheduled program...

Thanks for the report. The game was definitely decided with Carlo's decision to deepstrike his army.
I have been running a DoA army for awhile now and I have learned that you deepstrike against shooty/mech armies and deploy against assualt/horde armies.
That said if he is still trying to get the hang of using a DoA list getting that experience of dropping in is invaluable.
Good battle report, clear voice and picture plus nice battle. Definately dont think I would DOA against daemons.
DOA is great but you have to bite the bullet sometimes and realise you cant always use it, plus with a 18" charge range, you can start on the board effectively anyway.
I play Carlos this coming Wednesday with my Salamanders army. I will have a little bit of everything in my list, so it should really help him out in the confidence department when he starts dropping in and actually destroying units.
Thanks for the clarification on the DoA rule. That would have been embarrassing had it been at a tournament. I knew going into the battle that dropping wasn't the best move but I wanted to have the experience. And just as I thought, it sucked big time. Don't worry Brent, we will play again and the out come will definitely be different.
Sounds like a Pepsi challnge.
I have been recently deepstriking my army versus hordes - Daemons, orks, Nidz, etc. The advantage being your opponent does not know where you are going to bring in the bulk of your army. I have found most horde players will start off in a castle formation then move forward in an attempt to cut off area on the table where you can drop. This actually works towards your advantage as they lose the castle and expose the units you want to hit first - such as synapse and such.

I am interrested to know if u used DoA on ur vanguard and terminators?
And deepstrikin against a deamon army probably wasnt the greatest idea. =)
Mmm... I'm not sure if I recall. I think he used Heroic Intervention on the Vanguards but I'm not even sure DoA is an option for Terminators.
And no, it sure wasn't!
