The obvious downside here is I have exactly ONE way of destroying a Landraider... and it couldn't be more of a wing-and-a-prayer.  Bottom line, I'll have to ignore them.  I know of at least one army that will have Landraiders in his 1000pt Daemonhunters list... but hell, I'm what he beats up, right?  The only change I'm considering is replacing a Daemonette squad with a Plaguebearer squad, but right now it's the speed I want.

Let me know what you think.

Landraiders are a problem for daemons. Period. It doesn't matter what is in your list, because there is NOTHING in the whole book that can reliably take them down anyways. It's just something you're going to have to get over unfortunately.

I personally would switch the daemonettes for plaguebearers. Put them on an objective in cover, and even a squad of five will be obnoxiously hard to kill. Daemonettes on the other hand.. die. To pretty much anything, and it doesn't matter how fast you're going if you just want an objective. lol. You have no units that can reliably take objectives at the moment, so I would strongly suggest finding the room for at least one.

That makes a lot of sense. What about dropping the Daemonettes for Plaguebearers, as suggested -

- that's almost a one for one trade out, a 10pt difference -

- and split that Plaguebearers squad into two 5-man units? Or is a 10-man better for holding objectives?

Any thoughts?

depends on the number of objectives involved.

At smaller point values like this 5 man squads going to ground will probably be sufficient, at 1250 you move up to 7 man squads, at 1500 10 man squads.

Nothing in the book can take out landraiders???
•Bloodthirster with Unholy Might FTP (For The Pen) baby! You are so wrong Ty, landraiders are tin foil versus the Bloodthirster and since it's got wings it can run them down too.

•Soul Grinder with tongue, S10 AP1... and they can run them down and assault them (S10) since they have fleet.

•Here is another nobody ever sees coming... Khornate herald on a juggernaught or chariot with Unholy Might and Fury of Khorne. S7 on the charge, rend -> S7 + 6 + d3, so two out of three times if the herald rends he will pen AV14. I've done it with mine more times than you would imagine.

The other greater daemons and daemon princes can also pen AV14. And let's not forget those Screamers... That's what they are there for.

(A new favorite!) Anon: I haven’t even bothered playing a game of 6th yet, cause I have read the rules, and actually understand how they interact with units. I know my armies no longer function how they should, and so I need to change them.
