Brent's 1500pt Tournament, October 8th!

Actually, I'm not sure how much claim I have to the whole thing, but if it's a train wreck you can pretty much bet I'll catch the responsibility for it.

It's going to be this Saturday at Galaxy Books and Comics in Wichita Falls, Texas.  If you're from out of town - and you probably are - email your 1500 point army list in advance to secure your spot.  Assuming you've done this, your rate is ten bucks at the door, all of which will go right into the prize pool.

(If you're a local, you have to both turn in your list and pay in advance, otherwise you're going to pay the door fee.)

The list you turn in will be the list you use on Saturday.  There are no changes on the day.

Be there no later than 9:30am.  The tournament starts at BE THERE AT 9:30 AM!
3308 Kemp Blvd # 2 Wichita Falls, TX 76308 (940) 692-3200
All four missions for the tournament will be posted in advance here tomorrow.  They are all from the book, modified to include additional objectives worth battle points.

I may post the rubric on Friday - I haven't decided yet.

If you have any questions, post them below.  You should know, the few lists I've already seen are top notch, so this should be a fairly competitive event.

(If you're a local, email your list to me directly.  Turning them in to Larry is also fine, but he's forwarding them to me.  To be clear, I need them prior to Saturday.)

My email is brent AT-SYMBOL strictlyaverage DOT com

(Or NotBrent...  Take that, SpyBots!)

Check this space for more information tomorrow!  Hope to see you there on Saturday!

  1. Kind of off topic....but where did you find that cape for the model pictured above? Looks awesome!

  2. No worries! It's not like this topic is relevant for most of the readers anyway.

It's from the Warriors of Chaos Fantasy Line - the Chaos Warrior. With a little modification, a Space Marine chest plate fits right on.

  4. Man, really wish I could make this one. I'm a fan of 1500, so I hope this becomes a new habit. Have fun, hope it runs smooth

Ps..I've been lurking through your Brotherhood work, very nice! I really like the bits-mix you have going

  5. Hey Brent, I saw you at the 2nd Ard Boyz and that Practice Ard Boyz you did at galaxy (I play SW, played Goatboy in Ard Boyz, and need a haircut, if any of those ring any bells, lol).

I think about 5 of us from Denton are planning on going, bringing Mech SWx2, Hybrid BA, Deathwing Termies, and some kind of GK (Jim always changes his mind the morning of...), so that should be pretty fun, so long as we don't all end up playing each other :-P

We don't usually play 1500 points at our store, so i'm sure it'll be an interesting/fun change.

  6. Anon: Hey man! Yea, I remember, and I'm glad you guys are making the trip up.

I'm going through the lists I have now and I'm 99% that all five of you are represented. I'll be putting up the Missions post in about an hour, and I'll be asking players to drop a line to confirm their spot.

Being the internet, I just need first names and an initial! Gotta protect your anonymity, even if I don't protect mine. :)
