Top Tip: Basing on the Go!

Here's Little Barrera, the top talent of the local game store, in the middle of our recent WarmaHordes tournament.  So, what's he doing?

Basing miniatures, obviously.  It's the how that struck me.

It's yet another use for plastic blister packs.  Here you see the WarmaHordes variety, which is especially good for this.  Basically, since it seals you can store a bit of your basing mix to take with you on the go.  Drop in some Elmer's Glue and voila!  You can quickly base models.

I don't know why I'm so fond of this Tip.  It could be because I'm a fan of Dethtron's Gaming on a Budget series at the House of Paincakes.  Obviously you could use any small container - a baby food jar works great too - but I like this since it's frugal and useful.

Thoughts?

(Here's what he was basing... consider it a bonus!)

  1. I use the plastic containers from Sara Lee lunchmeat to hold all my basing mixes.

They stack well, stay closed, and I can tell what each one is fairly easily.

    Reusing is awesome.

  2. The more I see of PP models, the more they grow on me.

  3. I like the blister pack idea.

My favorite is the little platic drum galeforce 9 sells basing material in

  4. Porky, the game did it for me when I had the opportunity to demo. The models are just icing on the cake!

Odd article though. Do you not paint your base? Had you just left it for last and thought what the heck, while I'm out and about...? It just doesn't seem...efficient. LOL
