The stormraven interior looks fantastic. I'm on the side of bold decisions, going against the odds and last stands so I'm no hater. It's good work, especially when we consider how many standard kits go unconverted and unpainted.
Ok I am noticing something here and I think I need to say something.
About your light box...your doing it wrong!
If you are using the box and three lights you should never need your flash and it looks like you are still using it.
When you set up your lights, you need one over head (which you have), then some on the sides and towards the front of the model. More front than sides actually. The side lights are there to illuminate the parts of the model that the top light puts in shadow. They should not be lighting the side and back of the model unless that is the area you are taking a photo of. I am not sure if you moved them before the pictures but in the distant picture of your set up, they are obviously towards the back of the model and they look to be facing towards the front.
Some tips...
You may try moving your top light closer to the box. That will allow it to cast a brighter light on the model sot he sides are not needed as much. Second move the side lights closer to the front of the box. You may even need to set the light box up on something so the side lights are sitting at a lower level and can be adjusted to shine up and clear some of the shadows. Finally and I can not stress this enough. TURN OFF YOUR FLASH. Even with that much light your flash will cast harsh shadows and affect your photos.
Never mind, you're right. I actually ruined a number of the pictures I took of the Gun Shy - none of them, not even the ones I've posted, really look like the actual model.
The Mighty Mighty Carlos showed me how to properly adjust photos in Photoshop, so I'm eager to give that a try.
The lights was obvious as I saw them in the set-up pic of your box. If I can see the lenses on the front of the lights, they are facing towards me.
As for the flash there is several ways. The main one is shadows. The flash causes harsh shadows that normal light does not. Look at the pic of the exemplars. They all have fat low shadows behind them. Also things like the robe on the leader model is casting a dark shadow on the red tabbard.
As the opposite the flash also washes out the color of things extremely close. Like the hatch opening of the raved hatch close up. Notice how bright white the metal looks. They just look different, but those are some of the things I notice.
