I've only just started this marine army, but here's what I've got - all the test models, as it were. The Gun Shy will be the only Storm Raven in the army, 'cause I'll be darned if I'm going through all this again.
The main changes were adding the larger wings, building up the undercarriage - including the landing gear system - and updating the color scheme to match the army's new look.
For comparison, here's the first version, lovingly dubbed the Storm Buster by Dethtron.
Great looking conversion. The first split-second I saw the side photo I thought it was a tuk-tuk.

Also, next year put a hobby knife and drill on your christmas wishlist.. Cause flashlines and undrilled barrels aren't your friend.
But to close on a high note the first picture is pretty dramatic and actually a great pic, I approve!
Forgive my ignorance, good sir, but is that a do-it-yourself Chapter or did you go with an existing Chapter?
ReplyDeleteAs to the Gun Shy, I quite like it. It is most certainly beefy enough to be produced by the Imperium and the green vents(?) give the impression of armored shutters which could be closed in the event of a contested landing, right? And since we're talking about Astartes here, I would assume most landings will be contested.

New and improved..now with wings. Seriously. Ok maybe not all that improved. I am still not too hip on the design. If you are going for being different than others..congratz you got it. You could also have got different by dumping all the parts in a bag, squeeze in some model glue, and shake.

ReplyDeletenice conversion work but the design looks kinda like a delorean mixed with an xwing....the wings jus dont seem to mesh with it, look kinda like an afterthought and the front end...well yeah...
