Very nice.
I am a big fan of thematic armies and this one looks like it will look fantastic when completed.
Ugh, I'm completely jealous of your conversion/painting skills. Great job! Looks amazing.
Looks good man - real good - space wolves as chaos - would have thunk it - I mean - It just sounds so crazy.
Hehehe - I wish a CSM codex redux would come down the line - or at least legion books.
Sad Panda indeed.
Brent gud one! Your color choices create a feeling of a subtle hint of depravity. The spots of color, combined with the flesh shield, and the washed metal works very well together. Again, kudos!
Sometimes I am not sure how to comment on your painting. I have trouble telling when you are asking for advice on color choices for tabletop paint jobs, or are looking for true C&C on the paint job.
It looks decent although I am not a huge fan of full metallic marines.
I still see some of the tell tale Brent signs on this one. Looks like you are still lightening your colors with white. I think I can see it on the pink, blue, and maybe on the flesh on the shield.
As for the shield, I have a question about the flesh. Is it newly dead? If so where is the blood. If not I think the color may be a bit off. I know living humans whose flesh does not look that healthy.
Also, the pink and blue look forced. Like you where looking for a place to add some color and that is where it fell. It may also fall back to me dislike of colored hoses ect. Maybe a personal preference thing.
I'd say most of my stuff falls under the tabletop quality models; certainly this one does.
I appreciate the comments, even when I don't end up changing anything. In this case, I like metallic marines quite a bit... but I've been staring at the skin trying to decide if I should do blood or not.
My original idea was to have glowing green or blue in the symbol - that idea ended up transferring to the blue piping.
Mmm... I think blood is in order; if I had more time, I'd throw up a grid and get a consensus on where folks thought blood appropriate. I think that'd be fun.
Since I don't have time, I'll do the less is more.
Be right back!
looks pretty solid to me. I like the flesh on the shield, adds an interesting bit of color to the model. I think adding blood would just add distraction to the whole thing. though the chaos star might look good with a slight red tint. slight, though.
the metal armor is, i think the best feature. Nice and corroded looking with some very good definition between armor plates.
Not a fan of the purple chest eagle, to be honest. Also, the pink horns could do with some lighter colored streaks focused on the top half to make it look 'horny;
What are those dog models?
