A Few Reasons To Vote
What can I say? This is a blatant attempt to buy your vote. The hours are counting down... Vote Brent.
As an aside, what do folks think of Seekers in 40K? I only have 5 currently, but with the new models coming out I'm taking a closer look at them.

If only somebody had written some kind of Daemon review...
ReplyDeleteSeekers are pretty cool I think. For only 3 points more than Daemonettes you get cav movement and an extra attack. While I'd consider Fiends better overall (T4, S5, H&R), Seekers are more for killing infantry and MCs, particularly those hunkered down in terrain. I6 and grenades is going first almost all the time, and 5 rending attacks apiece is going to leave a mark.
Their obvious downside is T3 5++, so a stiff breeze or some whiffed rending could see Tacticals slapping them around. Lack of Hit & Run really hurts here.
If you've maxed on Fiends, Seekers are a good pick. If you bring Skarbrand, Seekers are a good pick. If you just want more rending, go Seekers.

What about a comparison against Khornedogs, which is what I currently have? And what unit size is considered a 'minimum'?
Those are the thoughts I'm thinking.
Khorne dogs are for cracking open light armor (S5 w00t) and munching on soft or weakened units. Seekers go after tougher stuff, particularly armored opponents and infantry. S3 + rending isn't going to cut it against tanks, at least relative to what Fiends and Hounds can do.
ReplyDeleteI think you'd have to go pretty big with Seeker units considering how fragile they are. 10 feels about right.
I've just been getting into Seekers myself once I heard new plastics were dropping. Then I can finally make my Slaanesh chariots and maybe do up a Skarbrand list featuring them.
skarbrand can make an all over Slaanesh list fly. I want to like seekers, I really do, and I think they are the class of a relatively week FA slot. I just think generally better places to spend those points.
